Bintrafusp Alfa and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy for the Treatment of Recurrent or Second...

Recurrent Head and Neck Squamous Cell CarcinomaSecond Primary Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Head and Neck

This phase I/II trial studies the side effects and how well bintrafusp alfa and stereotactic body radiation therapy work in treating patients with head and neck squamous cell cancer that has come back (recurrent) or has occurred after having cancer in the past (second primary). Immunotherapy with bintrafusp alfa may induce changes in body's immune system and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Stereotactic body radiation therapy uses special equipment to position a patient and deliver radiation to tumors with high precision. This method can kill tumor cells with fewer doses over a shorter period and cause less damage to normal tissue. Giving bintrafusp alfa and stereotactic body radiation therapy may help to control recurrent head and neck squamous cell cancer.

Immunotherapy for Recurrent Cervical Cancer Refractory to Platinum-based Chemotherapy

Recurrent Cervical CarcinomaPersistent Advanced Cervical Carcinoma3 more

For recurrent or persistent advanced cervical cancer patients, the first-line chemotherapy was based on platinum. However, if they were refractory to platinum-based chemotherapy, there were no other more effective medications or treatment. The marketing of anti-PD-1 antibody has provided an opportunity of curative management. This single arm, open, phase II trial would recruit 34 eligible patients. A combination of anti-PD-1 antibody camrelizumab and albumin-bound paclitaxel would be given for first 9 patients. If at least total 2 patients achieved complete or partial remission, or at least total 6 patients achieved complete or partial remission or stable disease, the same regimen would be given for rest patients. The primary end is overall response rate (ORR). The second ends include progression-free survival, overall survival, disease control rate, remission duration, and adverse events. A molecular testing, mainly consisting of genomic analysis, will be carried in the oncologic tissues.

Comparison of the Efficacy, Safety, and Relapse of ECT to ECT Plus Agomelatine for Depressed Patients...

Major Depressive Disorder

Our hypothesis is that using antidepressants during the ECT has a better efficacy and longer time to relapse/recurrence to the ECT without antidepressants. The purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy, safety, and time to relapse/recurrence of ECT to ECT plus agomelatine in the treatment of patients with major depressive disorder. Inpatients with major depressive disorder for ECT will be randomly assigned to double-blind treatment with placebo or agomelatine 50 mg/d.

Inotuzumab Ozogamicin and Chemotherapy in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Refractory B-cell...

Recurrent B Acute Lymphoblastic LeukemiaRecurrent B Lymphoblastic Lymphoma2 more

This phase I trial studies the best dose of inotuzumab ozogamicin in combination with chemotherapy in treating patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia that has come back (recurrent) or that does not respond to treatment (refractory). Inotuzumab ozogamicin is a monoclonal antibody, called inotuzumab, linked to a toxic agent called ozogamicin. Inotuzumab attaches to CD22 positive cancer cells in a targeted way and delivers ozogamicin to kill them. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as etoposide, prednisone, vincristine, cyclophosphamide, and doxorubicin, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving inotuzumab ozogamicin in combination with chemotherapy may kill more cancer cells than with chemotherapy alone in treating patients with recurrent or refractory B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Clinical Trial to Assess Pharmacokinetic Parameters and Safety of NNG-TMAB (Trastuzumab) on Recurrent...

Breast Cancer MetastaticBreast Cancer Female1 more

Targeted therapy in the treatment of breast cancer targets HER2 receptor (Human Epidermal growth factor Receptor). HER2 receptor plays an important role in cell growth and differentiation (5). However, when HER2 overexpresses, it may lead to cancer. HER2 positive malignance exacerbates pathology and worsens clinical outcome, such as shortened overall survival (OS) compared with non-HER2 overexpression patients (6), (7). About 20-30% overexpression HER2/neogene breast cancer patients and patients having HER2 overexpression tumor have disease progression and poor prognosis in metastatic process (8), (9). Currently, targeted therapeutic, which attaches to the HER2 receptor, inhibiting the growth of cancer cells has been approved. One of these products is Trastuzumab. The study processed on 50 females aged between 18 and 65, recurrent or metastatic breast cancer patients with positive HER2. The subjects were randomly distributed in 2 groups as NNG-TMAB + docetaxel or Herceptin® + docetaxel, in blocks of 4 in a 1:1 ratio (NNG-TMAB: Herceptin®). In each block of 4 will be 2 patients in the experimental group and 2 patients in the control group. Primary endpoint is serum peak concentrations (Cmax), area under the curve from 0 to t (AUC0-t). This trial is intended to assess the biosimilarity of pharmacokinetic parameters, safety between Faceptor (experimental drug) and Herceptin (reference).

Radiomic fEatures of Pancreas From Contrast Enhanced CT Image Predict One-Year RecUrrence Risk of...

PancreatitisChronic

One-year recurrence rate of acute pancreatitis at about 20%. 36% of the patients with recurrent acute pancreatitis will develop into chronic pancreatitis. In addition to negative impact on patient's quality of life, chronic pancreatitis is also associated with the occurrence of pancreatic cancer. The etiology of recurrent acute pancreatitis (RAP) can be divided into mechanical obstructive factors (e.g. cholelithiasis, cholestasis), metabolic abnormality and toxic substance factors (e.g. hyperlipidemia and alcoholism), and other or idiopathic factors. At present, the diagnosis and treatment of RAP remains highly challenging. Early identification and intervention on risk factors of recurrence will be effective in reducing incidence and improving prognosis. Contrast-enhanced Computed Tomography (CT) can not only provide more imaging information and further assess the severity of acute pancreatitis, but also aid in the differentiation of other diseases associated with acute abdominal pain. In addition, radiomics based on raw radiographic data has become a research hotspot in recent years. The purpose of this study is to establish and validate a deep learning model based on high concentration iopromide-enhanced abdominal CT images which is designed to predict the recurrence of pancreatitis in patients with first episode of pancreatitis within the 1-year follow-up period.

Prexasertib (LY2606368), Cytarabine, and Fludarabine in Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Acute...

Chronic Myelomonocytic LeukemiaRecurrent Acute Myeloid Leukemia3 more

This phase I trial studies the side effects and determine the best dose of prexasertib (LY2606368) when given together with cytarabine and fludarabine in patients with acute myeloid leukemia or high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome that has returned after a period of improvement or no longer responds to treatment. Prexasertib (LY2606368) may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as cytarabine and fludarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving prexasertib (LY2606368) together with cytarabine and fludarabine may work better in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndrome.
