Coronary Artery Surgery Study (CASS)
Cardiovascular DiseasesCoronary Disease2 moreTo compare coronary artery surgery with medical management in patients with coronary artery disease and to maintain a registry on all patients undergoing coronary arteriography, whether operatively or medically managed.

Digital Ischemia Reduction in Critically Ill Patients
Hypovolemic ShockCardiogenic Shock1 morePatients requiring high dose pressors (minimum 2) who are unlikely to be weaned off them over 1 day will be identified. Patients will have the device applied to one hand while expectant medical management will continue to the contralateral hand.

Trans-pedal Access for Endovascular Revascularization in Complex Infra-popliteal Lesions in Critically...
Critical Lower Limb IschemiaBackground: critical limb ischemia is one of the most challenging cases we face nowadays with high risk for amputation, retrograde trans-pedal angioplasty offers an alternative technique after failure of traditional ante-grade angioplasty. Patients and Methods: 96 patients underwent trans-pedal or trans-tibial retrograde angioplasty after failure of the traditional ante-grade angioplasty with the aid of US, 21-gauge needle and 0.018 wire through sheath-less approach as a last chance for revascularization

Usability of Andago V2.0 in Gait Rehabilitation of Stroke Patients
Brain IschemiaIntracranial HaemorrhageAndago V2.0 is a recently developed overground gait and balance training device. Many patients in neurorehabilitation suffer from gait disorders, most typically after stroke. Since pharmacological therapies are basically not available, neurorehabilitation plays an important role in the treatment of such patients. The Andago V2.0 may represent a useful device in the rehabilitation of stroke and other neurological patients featuring a severe gait disorder. Therefore a study has been designed to investigate the usability of the Andago V2.0 in the setting of a neurorehabilitation clinic. The primary outcomes of this study are the usability and acceptance of the investigational medical device (IMD). Usability is mainly measured by the time spent for the set-up and release of the participant, achieved training times and distances, the number of stumbles, collisions and emergency stops and the error messages during the session. Besides patient and therapist satisfaction with the Andago V2.0 is recorded.

SCOPE CLI (Shifting Care and Outcomes for Patients With Endangered Limbs - Critical Limb Ischemia)...
Critical Limb IschemiaGiven the importance of understanding CLI patients' outcomes and existing gaps in knowledge, there is a pressing need to collect observational data on treatment patterns, adherence to performance measures, and outcomes that are relevant to patients and clinicians. To address this need, the current study will pilot test the research infrastructure and data elements needed to build a larger, national study collecting of the CLI population. It will also provide much-needed preliminary information to identify areas of action that can be targeted in quality improvement programs for this population. Most importantly, it will provide data on health status outcomes in patients with CLI, as a function of individual patient characteristics (demographics, socio-economic and clinical background) and the treatments that patients have undergone. The PORTRAIT-CLI study will also be well equipped to identify potential disparities in the provision of care and patients' outcomes as a function of patient's characteristics.

Effects of Remote Ischemic Conditioning on Myocardial Perfusion in Humans
Ischemic Heart DiseaseCardiovascular disease is the second leading cause of death in Denmark, and ischemic heart disease accounts for the bulk of it. The purpose of this study is to clarify whether a mechanical method of remote ischemic conditioning in the form of short-term obstruction of the blood supply to the arm, can improve the heart's blood supply in patients with ischemic heart disease. This will be attempted through experiments on patients with ischemic heart disease and experimental animal studies with simulated cardiovascular disease. This study will help to clarify whether remote ischemic preconditioning can be used to treat patients with ischemic heart disease.

Atherosclerosis and Acute Ischemic Stroke Study
AtherosclerosisInflammation1 moreA significant proportion of strokes are thromboembolic in nature, arising from atherosclerotic plaque at the carotid bifurcation. It is now wellknown that inflammation plays a key role in atherogenesis and plaque destabilization. However the identification and characterization of the different inflammatory factors, as well as their relative importance, have not been clarified. This main aim of this study is to identify new risk markers for atherosclerosis and to characterize more precise methods for detection of the unstable carotid plaque with increased stroke-risk.

Stable AnginaNon ST Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction3 moreThe current study sought to evaluate the clinical relevance of iFR-guided strategy in real world clinical practice using unrestricted study population from stable angina to acute coronary syndrome including acute ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction. Previous abundant historical data of FFR-guided strategy will be also included as historical control to validate the iFR-guided strategy.

Effectiveness of Butylphthalide on Dynamic Cerebral Autoregulation in Patients With Acute Ischemic...
Acute Ischemic StrokeThis is a randomized, triple-blind, placebo-controlled, multicenter clinical trial. Eligible patients will be randomized into either the butylphthalide (NBP) or placebo group in a 2:1 ratio. The main purpose of this study is to determine whether butylphthalide can improve dynamic Cerebral Autoregulation (dCA) in large-artery atherosclerosis acute ischemic stroke.

Delayed Cerebral Ischaemia and Coagulation Alterations After Aneurysmal Subarachnoid Haemorrhage...
Aneurysmal Subarachnoid HemorrhageDespite the advances in neurosurgical and -radiological techniques and intensive care, the mortality and morbidity rates in SAH have not changed in recent years. There is still only a limited understanding of the mechanisms of secondary insults causing brain injury after SAH, also called delayed cerebral ischemia (DCI). In this study, the investigators are exploring the use of quantifiable biomarkers from blood and continuous EEG monitoring as tools for the diagnostics of DCI. Additionally, the investigators are looking into other clinical variables (eg. pain, heart function) as factors of DCI.
