APN401 in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, or...

Metastatic Malignant Neoplasm in the BrainMetastatic Solid Neoplasm10 more

This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of APN401 in treating patients with pancreatic cancer, colorectal cancer, or other solid tumors that have spread to other places in the body or have come back. APN401 may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.

Irinotecan Liposome and Bevacizumab for the Treatment of Platinum Resistant, Recurrent, or Refractory...

Platinum-Resistant Fallopian Tube CarcinomaPlatinum-Resistant Ovarian Carcinoma7 more

This phase II trial investigates the effect of irinotecan liposome and bevacizumab in treating patients with ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer that shows less response to platinum therapy (platinum resistant), has come back (recurrent), or does not respond to treatment (refractory). Irinotecan liposome may help block the formation of growths that may become cancer. Bevacizumab is a monoclonal antibody that may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Giving irinotecan liposome and bevacizumab may kill more cancer cells.

Tonsil Surgery in Recurrent or Chronic Tonsillitis

Tonsillitis RecurrentTonsillitis Chronic

Tonsil surgery is common in adults with recurrent or chronic tonsillitis. The surgical techniques include either partial or total surgical removal of the palatal tonsils (tonsillotomy, TT, and tonsillectomy, TE, respectively). The aim of this study is to find out, whether tonsil surgery improves the quality of life in these patients and whether the lighter TT is as effective as TE. Our main outcome is the disease-specific Tonsillectomy Outcome Inventory-14 (TOI-14) quality of life questionnaire score at 6 months follow-up.

Predictors of Atrial Fibrillation Recurrence After Ablation Using PENTARAY Catheter

Atrial Fibrillation Ablation Using PENTARAY Catheter

CARTO represent a new way of 3D electroanaromic mapping for AF which has improved safety and success rate of AF ablation compared with other conventional methods of AF ablation as it provide accurate visualization of atrial anatomy and identification of atrial substrate properties for catheter ablation of atrial arrythmias which ensure good ablation with decreased incidence of recurrence of AF.

Clinical Study of MRD Recurrence Monitoring After Surgical Resection of Hepatocellular Carcinoma...

HCC

ctDNA-based liquid biopsy can better detect the presence of MRD before imaging and serological markers, and is suitable for postoperative MRD and recurrence monitoring, which has been clinically validated in several cancer types such as lung cancer and intestinal cancer. However, there is no systematic comparative study of postoperative MRD and recurrence monitoring based on ctDNA testing in hepatocellular carcinoma. A prospective multicenter observational clinical study is proposed to evaluate the use of liquid biopsy based on ctDNA NGS assay in surgical evaluation, MRD and molecular recurrence state monitoring after radical resection of hepatocellular carcinoma, and to compare with imaging and serological findings with the aim of early detection of disease recurrence or metastasis and more survival benefits for patients.

Pembrolizumab and Carboplatin in Treating Patients With Relapsed or Refractory Ovarian, Fallopian...

Recurrent Fallopian Tube CarcinomaRecurrent Ovarian Carcinoma1 more

This phase I/II trial studies how well pembrolizumab and carboplatin work in treating patients with ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer that has come back (relapsed) or has not responded to previous treatment (refractory). Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as pembrolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the cancer, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading. Giving pembrolizumab and carboplatin with platinum resistant chemotherapy may work better than platinum chemotherapy alone in treating patients with ovarian, fallopian tube, or primary peritoneal cancer.

Study of Laparoscopic Inguinal Hernia Repair

HerniaInguinal13 more

Although mesh fixation has been associated to an increased incidence of nerve injury and involves increased operative costs, many surgeons feel that fixation is necessary to reduce the risk of hernia recurrence. The aim of this study is to evaluate the outcomes of laparoscopic herniorrhaphies performed with and without mesh fixation at our institution.

Engineered Donor Stem Cell Transplant in Treating Patients With Hematologic Malignancies

Acute Lymphoblastic LeukemiaAcute Myeloid Leukemia16 more

This pilot phase I trial studies the side effects of engineered donor stem cell transplant in treating patients with hematologic malignancies. Sometimes the transplanted cells from a donor can make an immune response against the body's normal cells (called graft-versus-host disease). Using T cells specially selected from donor blood in the laboratory for transplant may stop this from happening.
