A Study of Foretinib in Patients With Recurrent/Metastatic Breast Cancer
Recurrent Breast CancerThe purpose of this study is to find out what effects this new drug foretinib has on this type of breast cancer, called "triple negative" breast cancer because the cancer tissue is estrogen, progesterone and HER2 receptor negative.

Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention for Stimulant Users
Stimulant DependenceThe broad, long-term objective of the current research is to improve treatment for stimulant use disorders by augmenting traditional relapse prevention therapy with innovative meditation-based strategies to promote affect regulation skills. Based on Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy for depression (Segal, Teasdale, & Williams, 2002), Marlatt and colleagues recently developed a manualized intervention for the treatment of substance using populations: Mindfulness Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP). The specific aims of this research are 1) To conduct a pilot randomized clinical trial to assess the feasibility of recruiting and retaining individuals for a large scale study and to determine the effect size of MBRP relative to a health education (ED) control group in stimulant users receiving contingency management (CM).

Bevacizumab in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Progressive Meningiomas
Acoustic SchwannomaAdult Anaplastic Meningioma8 moreRATIONALE: Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well bevacizumab works in treating patients with recurrent or progression meningiomas.

A Japan Phase I/II Study of Bortezomib in Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma Patients
RefractoryMultiple Myeloma1 moreThe purpose of this study is to assess the safety/tolerability and determine the Japanese recommended dose (RD) of bortezomib administered as a once-daily intravenous bolus twice weekly for 2 consecutive weeks(Days 1, 4, 8, and 11) followed by a 10-day rest period (Days 12 to 21) in Japanese patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma.

Dose Intensification Study in Refractory Germ Cell Tumors With Relapse and Bad Prognosis
Germ Cell TumorsNot randomized, multicentric, national phase II trial estimating the efficacy of an intensification protocol in patients with refractory germ cell tumors with relapse and bad prognosis. Treatment consists in two Paclitaxel and Ifosfamide intensification cycles followed by three Carboplatine and Etoposide high dose cycles. The point is the individual Carboplatine adjustment to take into account inter-individual patients variability. This adaptation allow to control each patient plasmatic exposition to avoid both inacceptable toxicities (such as ear toxicity) and a low exposition losing then the benefit of this high dose protocol.

Fludarabine Phosphate, Melphalan, Total-Body Irradiation, Donor Stem Cell Transplant in Treating...
Accelerated Phase Chronic Myelogenous LeukemiaAcute Myeloid Leukemia With Multilineage Dysplasia Following Myelodysplastic Syndrome100 moreThis clinical trial is studying how well giving fludarabine phosphate and melphalan together with total-body irradiation followed by donor stem cell transplant works in treating patients with hematologic cancer or bone marrow failure disorders. Giving low doses of chemotherapy and total-body irradiation before a donor peripheral blood stem cell transplant helps stop the growth of cancer cells or abnormal cells. It may also stop the patient's immune system from rejecting the donor's stem cells. The donated stem cells may replace the patient's immune cells and help destroy any remaining cancer or abnormal cells (graft-versus-tumor effect)

Concurrent Alcohol and Smoking Treatment: Effects on Alcohol Relapse Risk
Tobacco Use CessationAlcohol-related DisordersThe majority of individuals with alcohol problems remain current smokers, and the negative health consequences of smoking among these individuals are substantial. This study will investigate the impact of smoking cessation interventions initiated during intensive alcohol treatment on processes reflecting risk of alcohol relapse.

Talc Pleurodesis in Patients With Recurrent Malignant Pleural Effusion
Recurrent Malignant Pleural Effusion. The purpose of this study is to analyze and compare radiological lung expansion after talc pleurodesis performed either by videothoracoscopy or chest tube and correlate it with clinical outcome. Secondary endpoints evaluated were: clinical efficacy, safety, quality of life and survival.

Sorafenib and Bevacizumab in Treating Patients With Metastatic Colorectal Cancer
Recurrent Colon CancerRecurrent Rectal Cancer2 moreThis phase II trial is studying how well giving sorafenib together with bevacizumab works in treating patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Sorafenib may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Monoclonal antibodies, such as bevacizumab, can block tumor growth in different ways. Some block the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Others find tumor cells and help kill them or carry tumor-killing substances to them. Sorafenib and bevacizumab may also stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Giving sorafenib together with bevacizumab may kill more tumor cells

Belinostat and Carboplatin in Treating Patients With Recurrent or Persistent Ovarian Epithelial...
Brenner TumorFallopian Tube Cancer8 moreThis phase II trial is studying how well giving belinostat together with carboplatin works in treating patients with recurrent or persistent ovarian epithelial cancer, fallopian tube cancer, or primary peritoneal cancer that did not respond to carboplatin or cisplatin. Belinostat may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as carboplatin, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving belinostat together with carboplatin may kill more tumor cells.
