Optimized Radiological Diagnosis of Hepatic Candidiasis During the Treatment of Acute Leukemias...
LeukemiaInfectionHepatic candidiasis is a frequent complication in patients receiving intensive chemotherapy for acute leukemia. Hepatic lesions may be detected by computerized tomographic (CT) scans, but there is no standardized CT protocol for the diagnosis and follow-up of hepatic candidiasis. The investigators compared the size of the fungal lesions in the chest and abdomen CT. The current analysis aimed to increase the value of CT for the diagnosis and the follow-up of hepatic candidiasis in daily routine.

High-dose Cytarabine and Survival in AML
Acute Myeloid LeukemiaIn adults with acute myeloid leukemia, especially those < 60 years of age, high-dose cytarabine consolidation therapy has been shown to influence survival, but the appropriate dose has not been defined.

Analyses of Human Samples Collected in Clinical Trials
LeukemiaMyeloid4 moreCancer patients in clinical trials donate various human samples (e.g., serum, plasma, blood, urine, feces, bile, saliva) for research purposes. The purpose of this study is to conduct further analyses on these existing samples from clinical trials that are being performed outside of, but in collaboration with, the National Cancer Institute.

Treatment of Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia in Younger Patients
Acute Myeloblastic Leukemiastudy of the value of the cytogenetics and the monitoring of the residual minimum disease in the standard treatment of acute myeloblastic leukemia.

Mid-to Long-Term Outcomes in Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) Patients With Complete Cytogenetic Response...
Chronic Myeloid LeukemiaRationale: At present, virtually no evidence exists regarding mid to long-term patient-reported health outcomes (e.g., health related quality of life-HRQOL) of CML patients treated with Imatinib. Purpose: the results of this research will provide preliminary evidence-based data on an number of issues from the patients' perspective, including adherence to therapy issues.

Study of Dosage Individualisation for the Treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia
Acute Myeloid LeukemiaThe present study is not hypothesis driven but will explore the ability of pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic modelling to predict optimal dosage of the chemotherapeutic drugs used in therapy in adult patients with acute myeloid leukemia.

Endothelial Function, Arterial Stiffness and Components
Acute Lymphoblastic LeukemiaSpecific Aim: Compare the endothelial function, arterial stiffness and components of metabolic syndrome of childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) survivors to healthy sibling controls. Plan: A cross sectional study comparing ALL survivors to sibling controls including measures of endothelial function and arterial stiffness obtained form a peripheral artery tonometry device, height, weight, waist circumference, fasting lipid, glucose and insulin.

Analysis of Genetic Factors Related to Predisposition and Prognosis of Hematological Malignancies...
Acute Myeloid LeukemiaChronic Lymphocytic Leukemia1 moreThere are naturally occuring variations in the genetic makeup of all of us. Some of these variations may contribute to a change in susceptibility toward different diseases or change the prognosis. We are studying these genetic variations in patients with leukemia. The genes we are studying are those which influence detoxification of drugs and toxins.

Clinical Application of Novel Panels for Early Precision Diagnosis and Relapse Prediction in High-risk...
LeukemiaAcuteBased on the investigator's previous data on risk classification for acute leukemia, the investigators will design a set of panels to detect the gene expression and genomic variants (SNPs, mutation, insertion, deletion and fusion genes, etc), and identify the high-risk subtypes of acute leukemia, such as Ph-like acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Furthermore, the target therapy (Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors,et.al) will be used to treat the identified patients. In addition, more sensitive minimal residual disease (MRD) detection technology will be designed and used to detect the MRD in patients to early predict the disease relapse.

Efficacy and Safety in Patients With Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL) Treated With Idelalisib...
Chronic Lymphocytic LeukemiaThe present study aims at obtaining more in-depth information on how patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia treated with idelalisib and rituximab react to treatment.
