A Randomized Study of Gemtuzumab Ozogamicin (GO) With Daunorubicine and Cytarabine in Untreated...

Acute Myeloid Leukemia

The main objective of this study is to compare conventional chemotherapy: daunorubicin and the Aracytine and this chemotherapy in combination with the monoclonal antibody used Mylotarg in divided doses.

Decitabine in Treating Patients With Previously Untreated Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With 11q23 (MLL) AbnormalitiesAdult Acute Myeloid Leukemia With Del(5q)6 more

This phase II trial is studying how well decitabine works in treating patients with previously untreated acute myeloid leukemia. Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as decitabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing

S0521, Combination Chemotherapy With or Without Gemtuzumab Followed By Tretinoin, Mercaptopurine,...

Leukemia

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Monoclonal antibodies, such as gemtuzumab, can block cancer growth in different ways. Some block the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Others find cancer cells and help kill them or carry cancer-killing substances to them. Sometimes the cancer may not need more treatment until it progresses. In this case, observation may be sufficient. It is not yet known whether combination chemotherapy is more effective than observation when given as maintenance therapy in treating acute promyelocytic leukemia. PURPOSE: This randomized phase III trial is studying tretinoin, mercaptopurine, and methotrexate to see how well they work when given as maintenance therapy compared with observation after combination chemotherapy in treating patients with acute promyelocytic leukemia. (Randomization and observation group closed as of 8/15/10)

Pemetrexed Disodium in the Cerebrospinal Fluid of Patients With Leptomeningeal Metastases

Brain and Central Nervous System TumorsChronic Myeloproliferative Disorders10 more

RATIONALE: Pemetrexed disodium may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth. Studying samples of cerebrospinal fluid and blood from patients with cancer in the laboratory may help doctors learn how pemetrexed disodium works in the body and identify biomarkers related to cancer. PURPOSE: This clinical trial is studying the side effects and how well pemetrexed disodium works in treating patients with leptomeningeal metastases.

A Phase II Study of MGCD0103 (MG-0103) in Patients With Refractory Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia...

Lymphocytic LeukemiaChronic

In this study, MGCD0103, a new anticancer drug under investigation, is given three times weekly to patients with refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia.

GM-CSF Vaccinations After Allogeneic Blood Stem Cell Transplantation in Patients With Advanced Myeloid...

Myelodysplastic Syndrome RAEB-I or RAEB-IIRefractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia1 more

The purpose of this study is to investigate whether the addition of a vaccine after participants reduced intensity transplant will be safe and beneficial. The vaccine used in this trial, called GVAX, will be made from the participants own leukemia cells, and will be given between 1-4 months after transplant. In recent years, researchers have discovered that GVAX vaccine made from the patient's own cancer calls that have been engineered in the laboratory to produce a protein called GM-CSF, can be effective in stimulating a powerful immune response specific to that cancer.

Dasatinib in Imatinib Resistant/Intolerant Chinese CML (Chronic and Advanced Phase) Subjects

Leukemia

The primary objective of this study is to estimate the major cytogenetic response (MCyR) rate to Dasatinib in subjects with CP CML, complete and overall hematologic response (CHR and OHR) rate in subjects with AD CML or Ph+ ALL who have primary or acquired resistance to imatinib, or are intolerant of imatinib, when administered at 100 mg QD (Chronic CML) or 70mg BID (AP CML and Ph+ALL).

Idarubicin and High-Dose Cytarabine in Treating Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Leukemia

RATIONALE: Drugs used in chemotherapy, such as idarubicin and cytarabine, work in different ways to stop the growth of cancer cells, either by killing the cells or by stopping them from dividing. Giving more than one drug (combination chemotherapy) may kill more cancer cells. PURPOSE: This phase II trial is studying how well giving idarubicin together with high-dose cytarabine works in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia.

NOPHO-AML 2004 Study for Children With Acute Myeloid Leukemia

Acute Myeloid Leukemia

The overall objective is to improve the cure rate of children with newly diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who undergo risk-adapted therapy. Stem cell transplantation (SCT) is reserved to high-risk patients defined by cytogenetics and response to chemotherapy. The efficacy and toxicity of Gemtuzumab ozogamicin (GO, Mylotarg) will be evaluated.

Thymoglobulin and Total Lymphoid Irradiation for Hematologic Malignancies

LymphomaLeukemia

Primary Objective: 1. To determine whether the primary endpoint: the composite success rate, defined as the proportion of patients who are alive at day 100; and are without grade 3-4 Graft versus Host Disease (GVHD); and are without grade 4 toxicity (unrelated to infection); and have engrafted, is likely to be at least 40%. Secondary Objectives: To determine the cumulative incidence of chronic graft versus host disease. To determine the overall and disease free survival.
