Study of Efficacy and Safety of Grazoprevir (MK-5172)/Elbasvir (MK-8742) Combination Regimen for...
Chronic Hepatitis C VirusThis was an efficacy and safety study of grazoprevir (MK-5172) in combination with elbasvir (MK-8742) in treatment-naive participants with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype (GT) 1, 4, or 6 infection. Participants were randomly assigned (3:1 ratio) to immediate treatment or deferred treatment (placebo control). The primary efficacy hypothesis was that the proportion of participants receiving combination therapy in the Immediate Treatment Arm who achieve sustained viral response at 12 weeks after the end of study treatment (SVR12) is superior to 73%.

Safety and Efficacy of GS-4774 in Combination With Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate (TDF) for the Treatment...
Chronic Hepatitis BThe primary objectives of this study are to evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of GS-4774 in adults with CHB and who are currently not on treatment. Participants will be randomized to receive TDF alone or GS-4774 plus TDF for 20 weeks. After Week 20, GS-4774 will be discontinued. All participants will continue on TDF and will be followed for an additional 28 weeks. Following completion of the 48 week study period, all participants will be eligible for a treatment extension for 96 weeks.

A Study of Ritonavir-Boosted Danoprevir and RO5024048 in Different Combinations in Null Responder...
Hepatitis CChronicThis open-label, parallel cohort study will evaluate the safety, pharmacokinetics and antiviral activity of ritonavir-boosted danoprevir in combination with Pegasys (peginterferon alfa-2a) and ribavirin in treatment-naïve patients, and with RO5024048 added to the combination treatment in prior null responder patients with chronic hepatitis C genotype 1 or 4 and compensated cirrhosis. All patients will receive danoprevir 100 mg orally twice daily (bid) , ritonavir 100 mg orally bid, Pegasys 180 mcg subcutaneously weekly and ribavirin 1000-1200 mg/kg/day orally. Prior non-responders will receive RO5024048 1000 mg orally bid additionally. Anticipated time on study treatment is 24 weeks.

TMC435HPC3001 - An Efficacy, Safety and Tolerability Study for TMC435 vs Telaprevir in Combination...
Hepatitis CThe purpose of this study is to demonstrate the efficacy of TMC435 in combination with peginterferon (PegIFN) + ribavirin (RBV) by means of establishing its non- inferiority compared to an approved regimen of telaprevir + PegIFN + RBV in patients who have previously failed PegIFN.

Safety and Efficacy of Boceprevir/Peginterferon Alfa-2a/Ribavirin in Interleukin-28B CC Allele-Positive...
Hepatitis CChronicThe primary purpose of this study is to compare the efficacy of two boceprevir (BOC)-containing therapeutic regimens in the treatment of naïve participants with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1 who have the IL28B CC allele. The regimens differ in the treatment for participants who achieve undetectable HCV ribonucleic acid (RNA) at the end of the peginterferon alfa-2a (peg-IFN) plus ribavirin (RBV) 4 week lead-in. Participants receive either peg-IFN + RBV (Arm 1) or BOC + peg-IFN + RBV (Arm 2). The hypothesis is that Arm 2 is noninferior to Arm 1 in the proportion of participants with undetectable HCV RNA at Follow-Up (FU) Week 24.

Sofosbuvir + Ribavirin for 12 Weeks in Subjects With Chronic Genotype 2 or 3 Hepatitis C Infection...
Chronic Hepatitis CThis multicenter study was to evaluate subjects with chronic genotype 2 or 3 HCV infection who were interferon (IFN) ineligible, IFN intolerant or unwilling to take IFN. Participants were randomized in a 3:1 ratio to receive sofosbuvir (SOF)+ribavirin (RBV), or placebo to match SOF+placebo to match RBV. Randomization was stratified by presence/absence of cirrhosis. Approximately 20% of participants may have had evidence of cirrhosis at screening.

Part A: Drug Interaction Study of Sofosbuvir and Antiretroviral Therapy (ART) Combinations in HIV...
Hepatitis CHIVThis study consists of 2 parts, Part A and Part B. Part A, the Phase 1 drug interaction/early viral kinetic study, will evaluate the effect of selected antiretroviral therapies on the safety, viral kinetics, and pharmacokinetics of sofosbuvir (GS-7977; PSI-7977) and its metabolites in participants with HIV and hepatitis C virus (HCV) coinfection. Part B, the Phase 2 treatment study, will investigate the efficacy and safety of sofosbuvir, pegylated interferon alpha (PEG) and ribavirin (RBV) in participants with HIV/HCV coinfection.

Study to Evaluate the Treatment for Chronic Hepatitis C With Normal Transaminases in HIV Positive...
Chronic Hepatitis CIn the current practice patients with normal levels of ALT were not treated. However, a percentage of patients will present an advanced grade of fibrosis and cirrhosis. Another reason to treat is the similar response to the treatment than elevated ALT patients published recently in mono-infected patients. The investigators have not data concerning the evolution and response to the treatment in co-infected patients with normal ALT. In the story of treatment chronic hepatitis C of co-infected patients HCV/HIV, sometimes, it assumes a behavior similar between mono and co-infected patients and the results are different. In the case of normal ALT the investigators do not know if the natural history in co-infected patients is similar than the mono-infected patients, and also the response of the treatment. This study prospective and controls is the answer of this question. The main hypothesis is if the response of treatment in co-infected patients is not inferior than mono-infected patients. The objective is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of peginterferon alfa-2a and ribavirin in HIV positive patients with chronic hepatitis and persistently normal ALT. Every CASE (patient with normal ALT) will have a CONTROL (patient with elevated ALT), concerning genotype, gender and hospital.
