A Long-term Safety Study of Fluticasone Furoate (FF)/GW642444 and FF in Japanese Subjects With Asthma...
AsthmaThe primary purpose of the study is to assess the safety and tolerability of 52-week teatment with fluticasone furoate/GW642444 inhalation powder once-daily and FF inhalation powder once-daily in Japanese adult subjects with asthma.

A Study in Asthmatics to Determine the Efficacy and Dose Response of Repeat Doses of GW870086X on...
AsthmaThis is a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel group study to determine the efficacy of twenty-seven day- repeat inhaled daily doses of GW870086X on forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1). Initially there will be 3 treatment arms; placebo, 2mg GW870086X and 4mg GW870086X. After an interim analysis the trial may; continue to completion using the original doses, be terminated early, or have a fourth arm added of either 1mg GW870086X once daily or 3mg GW870086X once daily.

Atopic AsthmaThis study is to examine the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and functional activity of ADC3680B administered once daily for 28 days in subjects with partly controlled atopic asthma.

Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Fluticasone Furoate in the Treatment of Asthma in Adults and...
AsthmaA randomised, double-blind, multi-centre study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of two doses of inhaled fluticasone furoate in the treatment of persistent asthma in adults and adolescents currently receiving mid to high strength inhaled corticosteroids.

TC-6987 for the Treatment of Mild to Moderate Asthma
AsthmaThis study is designed to determine whether TC-6987 improves respiratory function in subjects with asthma by reducing airway hyper-responsiveness and inflammation.

Cost-effectiveness Study of Beclomethasone Versus Ciclesonide as Controller Medications in Pediatric...
AsthmaThe Objective was to Develop a Cost-Effectiveness study that compares Ciclesonide and Beclomethasone in pediatric asthma control.

Clinical and Biological Effects of Anti-IgE (Omalizumab) in Patients With Bilateral Nasal Polyposis...
Nasal PolyposisAsthmaThis pilot study is a double-blinded, randomized controlled, two-centre trial in which subjects will receive 4 to 8 (subcutaneous administered) doses of medication (Omalizumab or placebo) (dose and dosing interval calculated on body weight and baseline total serum IgE). During the treatment period and follow-up, the clinical efficacy of the treatment will be assessed by evaluation of symptoms, Quality of Life questionnaire, morning Peak Expiratory Flow measurement, smell test, nasal endoscopy, CT-scan, peak nasal inspiratory flow and spirometry. Biological activity will be evaluated by measuring peripheral and local (in serum, in nasal secretions, biopsies) markers of inflammation. Study hypothesis Evaluation of the efficacy and safety of anti-IgE (Omalizumab) in patients with nasal polyposis and comorbid asthma. Exploration of anti-IgE effects on local and systemic metabolism of IgE in nasal polyposis Clinical assessment of the IgE theory in the pathogenesis of nasal polyps

Pharmacokinetics and Pharacodynamics of GW642444 in Paedetric Subjects
AsthmaThis study will investigate the effect of dosing paedeatric asthmatic subjects with GW642444, an orally inhaled long-acting agonist of the β2-adrenoceptor.

Fine Particle pMDI Formoterol/Beclomethasone in Asthmatics With and Without Spacer: Comparative...
AsthmaAdequate pharmacological treatment controls symptoms in most asthmatics. Pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDI)are the most used drug delivery devices. Valved holding chambers of different types and sizes have also been developed for use in combination with pMDI. The therapeutic efficacy of treatment depends on the amount of inhaled particles. The chambers can optimize lung deposition as it obviates lung-hand coordination and retain larger particles. The aim of this study is to compare the efficacy of the fine particle combination pMDI Beclomethasone/Formoterol in asthma control, with or without the aid of a spacer in patients without adequate asthma control on medium to high-dose inhaled steroids associated with long acting beta adrenergic drugs. The hypothesis is that there is no clinical efficacy difference between the two forms of drug administration.
