Asthma (Part 1)COPD (Part 2)This is a phase I, randomised, placebo-controlled 2-part study to assess the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of AZD8871 delivered by inhalation, in asthmatic and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) subjects.

Study to Assess the Efficacy and Safety of Beclomethasone Dipropionate in Adolescent and Adult Patients...
Persistent AsthmaThe primary objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of beclomethasone dipropionate administered via BAI at a dose strength of 40 or 80 mcg per oral inhalation (320 or 640 mcg/day, respectively) compared with placebo treatment in patients with persistent asthma as assessed by the standardized baseline-adjusted trough morning (pre-dose and pre-rescue bronchodilator) forced expiratory volume in 1 second (FEV1) area under the effect curve from time 0 to 6 weeks (AUEC[0-6wk]).

Study to Compare PT007 to Placebo MDI and Open-Label Proventil® HFA in Adult and Adolescent Subjects...
AsthmaThis is a randomized, double-blind, single-dose, placebo-controlled, 5-period, 5-treatment, crossover, multi-center study to assess the bronchodilatory effect and safety of 2 dose levels of Albuterol Sulfate Pressurized Inhalation Suspension (hereafter referred to as AS MDI), 90 μg and 180 μg, compared with placebo for AS MDI (hereafter referred to as Placebo MDI) and open-label Proventil® hydrofluoroalkane (HFA; hereafter referred to as Proventil) 90 μg and 180 μg in adult and adolescent subjects with mild to moderate asthma. This study design utilizes 10 treatment sequences.

Sleep Quality in High School Students With Asthma - II
AsthmaSleep1 moreThe overall goal of this project is to develop and to preliminarily validate a novel intervention to be delivered in the high school setting that integrates two evidence-based, school-based interventions for urban adolescents with proven efficacy: (1) Asthma Self-Management for Adolescents (ASMA), an intervention for adolescents with uncontrolled asthma and (2) the Sleep-Smart Program (Sleep-Smart), which focuses on sleep hygiene and behaviors in urban adolescents. The aim for Phase I is to develop and integrate school-based interventions to improve asthma self-management and sleep hygiene in urban high school students via interviews. The aims for Phase II are: (1) to evaluate the feasibility and acceptability of the intervention procedures; and (2) to assess the preliminary evidence of the effects of the intervention on improving sleep quality in urban high school students with persistent asthma over a 2-month follow-up period. This record is for Phase II only.

AsthmaPhase 1, 3-part study to assess safety, tolerability and PK of single and multiple doses of itraconazole administered as a dry powder for inhalation (PUR1900) in healthy subjects (parts 1 and 2) and a 2-period crossover study of single doses of itraconazole administered as a dry powder for inhalation (PUR1900) and an oral solution (Sporanox) in adults with mild to moderate, stable asthma (part 3)

Vitamin D Deficiency and Asthma Exacerbation
AsthmaVitamin D Deficiency1 moreThe study aim is in two phases. First phase: to evaluate the influence of vitamin D deficiency on asthma severity, degree of airway obstruction and frequency of asthma exacerbations. Second phase: to evaluate if in patients with vitamin D deficiency (25-OH vitamin D levels below 20 ng/ml), vitamin D supplementation decreases the number of disease exacerbations.

Study of Reslizumab in Participants With Uncontrolled Asthma and Elevated Blood Eosinophils
AsthmaThe primary objective of this study is to determine the effect of reslizumab (110 mg) administered subcutaneously every 4 weeks on clinical asthma exacerbations in adults and adolescents with asthma and elevated blood eosinophils who are inadequately controlled on standard-of-care asthma therapy.

A Study of the Safety and Effectiveness of Benralizumab to Treat Patients With Severe Uncontrolled...
AsthmaThe purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of benralizumab on the rate of asthma exacerbations, patient reported quality of life and lung function during the 24-week treatment in patients with uncontrolled, severe asthma with an eosinophilic phenotype. A subset of patients will be assessed for their ongoing chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps. The study design has been updated to include a 56-week open label ANDHI in Practice (ANDHI IP) sub study upon the completion of the 24-week double-blind period of the ANDHI study.
